Review of Date Night (2010) by Stephen E — 18 Jul 2013
"Date Night" isn't overtly funny or remarkable in any sense of the word, but it's entirely un-hateable as an action-comedy. Tina Fey and Steve Carrell (both of whom are considered two of the funniest active performers) aren't astounding with their performances, but they handle the material quite well and maintain a likable charisma.
There are a few laughs to be had and some sequences are relatively exciting, and although "Date Night" is generic and not a spectacularly written, edited or directed film, it's passable entertainment.
