Review of Das Boot (1981) by Jeff Z — 06 May 2008
Easily one of the best movies I have seen. Though quite long, I personally was never bored in watching it, though I did take a short break in the middle of it. It is quite amazing that the entire movie takes place on essentially one set, yet is more captivating than many movies with a great many locations.
This movie puts you right in the U-boat, as if you are actually there, and the message behind the movie is poignant and lasting.
