DAS BOOT is not only one of the greatest war films ever made, but it is also a masterpiece of German cinema. Wolfgang Petersen's epic film about a crew aboard a German U-Boat during World War II is thoroughly engaging and mesmerizing.
Tense and claustrophobic, the film makes you feel as though you were inside the bot with these men. An absolutely billiant work of art.
