Review of Das Boot (1981) by Hunter L — 29 Mar 2009
Wolfgang Peterson's WWII submarine film is not only a compelling, entertaining, and probably quite accurate, war movie, but it also succeeds as a masterful analysis of the human psyche during claustrophobic war pressures.
Unbelievable sound design and intense cinematography are balanced with Jurgen Prochnow's stellar performance.
