A war movie from the German U-boat captain's point of view and so well directed that if you view it under the right conditions (quiet dark room, well into the night, surround sound) Peterson's direction is so intimate that it makes you feel like you are part of the crew!!!
If you are looking for a Saving Private Ryan type of war movies, this is not for you; however, if you are looking for the human experience of war and how it affect the psyche, then this movie is a most see!!
