Das Boot is a very powerful and interesting look into the life of a crew member on a German U-Boat. The cinema really highlighted how tight the quarters were. I really felt bad for these guys because it seemed like anyone could go crazy after being shaken and bombed that much.
This is a gut-wrenching, long, but very epic look at submarine warfare. Make sure you watch it with German audio and English subtitles. The dubbing is pretty bad.
