Review of Das Boot (1981) by Billy R — 31 Jan 2011
A good if somewhat long movie. It was quite a strange watch. You build up a relationship with the U-boat crew and don't want the Royal Navy to sink them. Then you realise the Royal Navy are the good guys and you want them sunk, but then you see they are just normal non-nazi sailors and feel bad again.
Nice happy ending though! Depending on what side you eventually end up on.
