5*+ because it's brilliant. I saw the uncut 3.5hr version and for 1 second I didn't doubt this movie. Just when they got too technical and talkative - comes a nerve wrecking action scene. It's one of the best if not THE best war movies I've seen.
The actors were outstanding, plot, directing, everything. (and it's a damn submarine movie!) just when you think the movie has a perfect ending, the real ending comes and it's hell of an ending.
Perfection.
