Awesome. AWEsome. AWESOME Cinema. Highly Gripping, Very well directed. Superbly Acted. Das Boot, with its insane realism, exceptional tension, stunning sound, wonderful cinematography & classic music is, without a doubt, One of the Greatest Films of All Time & Certainly the Best Submarine Film Ever.
Its running time of 3.5 hrs (almost 5 hrs for Uncut version) may put away some viewers but those who can sit through it are gonna have an unforgettable ride which only gets better & better as the movie progresses.
Make sure you grab the Director's Cut, if planning to watch this one.
