I loved this film as a kid. it made me fall in love with the lockheed SR-71 blackbird, in my opinion the best designed military aircraft ever built. I also saw it in it's year of release in the director, Simon Wincer's home cinema, complete with rear projection telly and dolby sound system.
.. in 19 bloody 85!! he lived up the road..
