Review of Darkon (2006) by George P — 11 Feb 2008
There's a duality with this documentary. It seems like they wanted to show the joys of live-action role playing, but often times the people featured in the film seem so outright angry and depressed.
It did have its moments of personal triumph a sense of heroism that can't be denied. Aside from that, they ad-lib more creativity and imagination then I've seen in most movies. I also saw a few people I went to high school with (as this documentary takes place in Baltimore), so that was a bonus.
