Review.
As the light started to fall on this peaceful town so did its mark fall on the rating scale. I canâ??t recommend this movie on the sole fact it goes for cheap scares and its plot is as thin as it gets. The story of a killer tooth fairy I actually bought into it is the execution of it that was found wanting. This is a tiny town and it seems only one guy gets tormented by this creature and he is the only one who sees it. If you were a kid and heard the noises that this tooth fairy was making in your room trust me you would wake up and see it. Apparently though only one kid at a time sees it and everyone else in this town are the deepest sleepers on the planet. Also the number of deaths as a result of this tooth fairy, who in their right mind would live in a town like this. The creature also in a hundred and fifty years decides to come out now for no particular reason and lets everyone see her no problem. The acting is pretty poor with the child Michael played by Lee Cormie being the worst as his voice is almost cartoon in nature and was horrible to listen too. The scares come in small doses with the tooth fairies moan being the best that is offered on screen. You would think something as malevolent and deadly as this creature would be able to stand a little pain to kill people. For example she doesnâ??t die when she gets hit by the light just a little burned. So having said that there is a scene where her face is right at the lights edge but she canâ??t take the pain of a millisecond and put her arm into the light to pull the person out? Seems weak to me. The scares are pretty lame with loud jarring movements being the best that they can offer. They throw in a black cat jumping on top of a car for one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in a movie. I have never seen a cat jump onto a hood of a car and hiss loudly so why would they add that I will never know. The death scenes are not the worst for PG-13 so people not thrilled with the sight of blood and gore might like this as it is tame in that regard. The ending comes pretty quickly but truly this movie is as miserable as losing a tooth. One more thing, apparently lightning doesnâ??t affect the tooth fairy but every other light source does for some nice consistency.
T Factor + Didnâ??t mind the story as much as I did then this could score higher on the rating scale.
T Factor â?? Thought the death scenes were lamer then I did then this could score lower on the rating scale.
If you liked this film reel recommendations: The Boogeyman, White Noise.
