Review of Darkness Falls (2003) by Patricia D — 21 Nov 2011
What a mediocre horror flick, not only does it fail at being scary, but it also fails at any other facet of a horror movie, mainly bloody kills and gore. It's just a PG-13 snore fest, the acting is terrible, the characters are totally unlikable and some ridiculous situations, that make it the Dante's Peak of horror films. Sure, the original concept is an interesting one and the campy nature of the film might be a little appealing, but it just falters on so many levels. Watch with friends and then throw it away.
PROS: Interesting concept, campy, only 75 minutes.
CONS: Terrible acting, lacks any merit of a horror movie, uninteresting characters drag the story.
