Pretty entertaining. Though, given the title, I kind of hoped it would be...darker. Nonetheless, the character's appearance after his face is burned and mangled was incredibly well-rendered.
However...The love interest, Julie, could've been much better developed. What's with Sam Raimi having the leading ladies end up as damsels in distress? Come on, man.
