Review of Darkman (1990) by Rob B — 18 Apr 2010
A perfect example of the basic superhero genre story that is used today, just on an much darker and more grotesque character. The film doesnt work quite as well as Raimi's Spider-Man movie but that's mostly down to it being a much less relatable hero and violent for the sake of being violent.
All of Raimi's staples are here, his brother, the classic, his crazy camera and at the end, Mr Campbell himself, but it just falls a bit flat.
