(4/5). Besides the pitch perfect performance from Gary Oldman, Darkest Hour should be up for best editing. But I guess that's the case with all of Joe Wright's films (except for Pan); his films are masterfully edited and its because of it that elevates Darkest Hour over your generic Oscar bait movie.
Yeah it drags a bit in the middle, but there's enough in this movie where you could get a solid history lesson from as well as a good addition along with this year's Dunkirk.
