I don't know why so few theaters are showing Darkest Hour in my area. The 12:30 was nearly sold out. Churchill as a historical figure is complex and often on the wrong side of history but he was there for England when Hilter seemed unstoppable.
Gary Oldman gave a superb performance and the rest of the cast were excellent as well.
