Gary Oldman is scary good (as is Kristin Scott Thomas, btw); perfectly, absolutely perfectly matched in this one. If he doesn't get a few Best Actors and she a few Best Supporting Actress, then the system is rigged.
I watched Oldman recently in The Book of Eli, and in The Contender, and the transformation to Churchill is nothing short of supernatural. What a range. I fear he might lose himself in his character and never come back to us.
