Gary Oldman gave a brilliant performance, but the move overall was just "muah", and this is coming from someone fascinated by Churchill and this whole period of history. I call these kinds of movies "Oscar grabs" as they're more about highlighting the actor's virtuosity, rather than really giving you great entertainment (sometimes you get both, not with this film unfortunately).
