The Darkest Hour is a "vegetable" movie-it was good for me to watch, even if I didn't enjoy it as much as other movies. The deliberately slow pace tried my attention span, but I felt like I learned a thing or two.
Gary Oldman disappears into the role of Winston Churchill, and his supporting cast gives this film a sense of realism. I felt like I was watching a documentary at times.
