Review of Dark Water (2002) by Hannah C — 09 Jul 2012
I started this film expecting a horror film. Instead, I got a drama about a single mother struggling with a messy divorce. Not to mention a little ghost story on the side. I've seen the original, and read part of the short story, and this remake slightly softens the horror elements and gives things a deeper meaning.
I love the soundtrack and atmosphere. It was great, fantastic. Why didn't Jennifer Connelly win an award for her amazing performance? You got me. She deserved it. This has got to be one of my absolute favorites of all time.
