This is my go-to davis film! an elegant soap opera with davis as a society girl dying of a brain tumor. the plot is something everyone knows because virtually every film has ripped it off in some sort of way.
but dark victory has geraldine fitzgerald as a true-blue assistant, humphrey bogart with an irish accent, ronald reagan playing a gay guy(you watch it and tell me)and stylish 30s style direction by edmund goulding.
