Review:

Man, this film was boring. It took ages for anything to happen, and when it does I was left thinking, "Was That It". I'm not a big lover of the paranormal movies, and this movie proves why I have been staying away from them. The acting isn't that bad and the storyline is like any other paranormal movie, but this one has aliens which look a bit silly. After the big alien showdown, the film ends a bit abruptly which just leaves it open for yet another sequel. If you have seen the adverts for this film, then you have seen all the best bits which just makes this movie another disappointing horror.

Round-Up:

I feel sorry for all of these kids who star in these movies because it must mess with there minds. I basically got what I expected from this film and there seems to be a big crowd flocking to see movies in this genre. The title doesn't really suit the movie because the whole film is based in a house so I don't really get the whole Dark Skies thing. I'm sure that there is people out there that will disagree. I also didn't get the whole ear thing but I did switch off my brain near the end so I might have missed the explanation. In all, I didn't think that there was anything original or even exciting in this film and it isn't one that will be getting put j the DVD that much.

Budget: $3.5million.

Worldwide Gross: $26.5million.

I recommend this movie to people who like there paranormal movies based around a family who have strange things happening to them in there house. 2/10.
