Review of Dark Skies (2013) by Shantel D — 24 Jan 2014
I think that the writer/director of this mish-mash of a movie basically just took the plot lines form a bunch of horror films from the past (like The Birds, Poltergeist, Paranormal Activity and even Close Encounters), threw them all into a blender and whizzed it up on high, poured it out into a big glass and then force fed it to the audience.
It's well acted and does have some genuine scary moments, but mostly it just limps along. Not a great film at all.
