Review of Dark Skies (2013) by Facebook U — 27 Mar 2015

Dark Skies is pretty much exactly how I expected it to be. No more, no less. I'm always intrigued when aliens are introduced into supernatural horror films. Alien abduction horror films are exactly made very often, and when they are they usually end up being terrible.

But I still hold out hope that they'll get it right. Dark Skies pretty much plays out how you expect. The characters a stereotypes, the writing's mediocre, the acting is decent but not great, there's false jump scares, etc.

That's what I thought it was going to be though, and for a 97min movie it kept me entertained. Would I watch it again? No. If you're bored though and need something to do then I'd say give it a watch, it's slightly above average.
