I think this movie made fun of itself in kind of an expected way that we see from modern movies. But it kind of missed the mark. I would rather have seen it stay true to the original more "serious" version of the campy series.
Making fun of itself was distractingly less funny to watch than letting the audience be the smart ones and make fun of it on their own.
