Tim Burton certainly satisfies fans of the old and classic TV show, but for new comers, Dark Shadows offers a very gothic style of horror that isn't even that frightening. Also the humor (while at times funny) seems quite out of date.
I will say this though, Johnny Depp was perfect for the lead role.
