Billed as a comedy, but somehow ended up a predictable, dull horror flick. It either needed to go more absurd and be a truly ridiculous comedy, or it needed to drop the attempts at lame "what's this weird 20th century contraption" humor.
Any way you look at it, this movie is a flop.
