Review of Dark Shadows (2012) by James R — 16 Apr 2014

Hmm kind of a miss here for Tim Burton. The film is based on an old TV show about a vampire who's reawakened in the 1970's after centuries of being locked away. Johnny Depp plays the role well it's just that the movie is very "out" there.

It doesn't really seem like this was a movie anyone was asking for. The film itself has some good moments and is genuinely funny, but the tone changes so many times sometimes it's serious sometimes it's scary it just seems a little scattershot.

Overall, it was ok I recommend a rent!
