Review of Dark Shadows (2012) by Matthew L — 05 Feb 2015
All the usual Burton tropes are present and correct, Depp, Bonham-Carter, Elfman score, Gothic ambiance and Christopher Lee cameo. But the add up to very little in the end. The plot takes forever to get going and is resolved in little more than 20 minutes of screen time.
The other 70 minutes just feels like padding and Burton quirkiness.
