Review of Dark Places (2015) by Drew M — 08 Aug 2015
As a huge fan of the book, I thought this film was reasonably well done. The book is of course way better then the film, but the film for the most part stays true to the book. Charlize Theron is strong and perfectly well-casted as Libby Day.
The whole reset of the cast is strong as well, particularly Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult, and Corey Stoll. The main down-side about this film is the time flip between the past and the present, which makes it difficult to keep up.
Overall a very entertaining film. My grade=85%(B).
