Review of Dark Places (2015) by Dimitri C — 04 Sep 2015
Dark Places is both profound and adrenaline-filled. The screenplay is similar to Gillian Flynn's novel and the acting is excellent. Charlize Theron was cast perfectly. The twists in the storyline keep your heart pounding! It's a family crime drama that's mostly tragic but also hopeful.
The theme of moving on as well as forgiveness makes the movie relatable to anyone. Flynn's stories are both amazingly character-driven and plot-driven- the greatest achievement for a writer. I say watch this and read her books and hope they make Sharp Objects into a movie!
