Review of Dark Passage (1947) by Erik P — 26 Jan 2008
Ok this movie has stars but this is not enough to make my cut.
To start and before the surgery, the movie is shot in Bogart's eye view. So the camera has arms and everyone talks to it. Rather distracting.
Then, the plot is either simplistic or aged, much of it doesn't feel believable anymore. After Bogie escapes from prison, suddently one of his admirer drives around to save him. The rest is just as believable.
