Finally! After years of hearing about this film I get to see it with my own eyes. Tv films really used to be quite interesting. The opening 20 minutes are very effective. The shot of Bubba's eyes behind the mask while he pleads his innocence is very unsettling.
Durning is great. The bulk of Bubba's revenge hasn't held up too well. I've seen far too much like it in the 26 years since this was made. Not the film's fault but made it less interesting.
Bubba's final move gave me a chill and made me glad that I never saw back then.
