Review of Dark Days (2000) by Hannibal O — 28 Aug 2007
Its easy to look at the homeless with disdain and accuse them of being lazy for being homeless. However, after you watch this film, I seriously doubt you will look at another homeless the same way again.
Directed by someone who himself became homeless due to exhausting all his financial resources to make this film and having a film crew composed of the homeless, the director captures a world we rarely if ever see.
The resourcefulness of these people is pretty amazing and despite their situation, they still managed to care for each other. Its difficult to take your eyes off these people. At times they're hilarious and other times they make you almost cry.
I highly recommend this film.
