Review of Dark Days (2000) by Ross D — 22 Dec 2007
Great doc about people most people never get to see or learn about. and their story is important. I think we can all learn from these peoples mistakes so that we wont end up like them. and even if we do, we learn that there is still hope and these people still live their lives despite their circumstances.
I think this film says alot about the resilience of the human spirit. this film is interesting because it describes a certain kind of hell, a place none of us want to go to, but most of us can imagine.
the only complanit about the film is some sequences where nothing is really going on. its footage of people being who they normally are when they interact with others, but there is a lot of this type of footage in the film and it does get boring to watch homeless people argue, especially in the doc cinematic sense.
other than that, I find the film extremely interesting and engaging.
