Review of Dark Country (2009) by Niall D — 27 Oct 2009
When I first saw a trailer for this film I thought it would be a great piece of work, however I went on to be outrageously misled. This film, while having a great atmosphere and some fantastic visuals, entirely let down on its weak story which ended up as something from 'Beyond Belief; Fact or Fiction.'.
I wasnt expecting nothing great that would blow me away but to see so much work put into how the film looks while completely lacking in story that leaves you endlessly counting loopholes in the lazy script writing was just shocking.
I shouldve guessed that this was to be expected from the man who also wrote the screenplay for the 1999 animated tarzan, which is all good for children, but dark country is an adult film that would leave any adult bewildered and robbed of their time.
