Review of Dark City (1998) by Nik M — 03 Nov 2012
Check out Alex Proyas's dark and interesting Sci-Fi feast: Dark City. John Murdoch wakes up in a strange motel with no memory. As he gets his bearings he realises he's on the scene of a murder in his room.
Uncertain and scared he runs and tries to fathom what is going on. Inadvertently he finds himself in a world controlled by dark and sinister beings who have telekinetic powers and can alter their surroundings as well as the city itself.
Here begins a fight for survival and the truth. It has some stunning visuals and some great characters. Dark City is saturated with intrigue and it sucks you right into the dark world expertly laid before you.
This is a fantastic Sci-Fi fantasy that is difficult to beat - Oh, and if that's not enough it's got Richard O'Brien from The Crystal Maze in it. Watch this.
