Review of Dark City (1998) by Dave L — 27 Dec 2010
"Dark City" is film noir mixed with science fiction and a little bit a mystery thrown in. The result is a brilliant movie that stands with some of the great science fiction ever made. The set design and visuals are outstanding but the story is also compelling and there are lots of philosophical elements thrown in that resemble Orwell and individual versus collective rights.
This is director Alex Proyas very best film.
