One of the most intriguing and elaborate science fiction ideas in film, that is consistently engaging --and that not only uses it's gothic, Sci-Fi Noir aesthetics (much akin to Blade Runner, or most accurately Fritz Lang's Metropolis) for style, but it is as much inherent to the story too.
