How could posibly review this movie? Yes, there's kinda similar to The Matrix, but at the same time is quite different.

I understand this movie is such a great deal for sci-fi fans (it's a great movie for me!) and I know a lot of viewers will say it's better tan The Matrix. But, altough I recognize is such an imporessive film at first, I should say that is not as much great as it seen at first glance.

While The Matrix tries to deliver us into an apocaliptic action travel without turn back, Dark City attempts to immerse in a distoptian nightmare that at first seems quite shocking and ill, but at last, the ilusion falls apart. It's like somehow, someway, the film losts its path in some point.

Don't get wrong, I will say one more time: Dark City is a great sci fi movie. A piece of art, and it has to be seen by every dystopian sci fi fan out there. Expect to get immerse in a nightmare, in an unexpected journey to the fears of the human kind, you will be afraid thinking about "if one day it becomes reality (or already is)". But, don't wait to see a complete film experience, at the end, the movie feels a little bit odd, not because the main idea (which is disturbing and wonderful at equal parts) but because the lack of ability of director Alex Proyas to create a complete experience.
