Dark City is a crazy visually epic film that is on Roger Ebert's Great Movies list. He did a commentary for the movie and thats one of the reasons I wanted to buy it. Now lets begin with plot shall we? A amnesiac named Murdoch wakes up in a hotel room only to find a few dead bodies. He finds out that people with trench coats and black hats are chasing him. He must figure out what is going on and find out more about his past before time is up. Proyas has a strong visual style in all of his films. This visual splendor has many surprises along the way. The film is very exciting in lots of parts. Also, the editing is spectacular. But there are some flaws to this film. Sutherland's character Always-Talks-In-Long-Pauses-Like-This. It is also sometimes feels like its copying movies like Blade Runner. But it has some great stuff in it. Dark City is a special movie.
