Review of Dark City (1950) by Caius C — 07 May 2012
A crowning visual achievement. Unlike Star Wars and Star Trek films which are mainly for entertainment, Dark City provides a startling look at the future that is filled with brilliant performances, amazing set pieces and directed and written by Alex Proyas, a man who knows how to make a sci-fi film like this intense and creative at the same time.
While it might be behind the masterpiece that is Blade Runner, Dark City is still one of the greatest sci-fi noirs of its time.
