Review of Dark City (1950) by Eric H — 11 Dec 2012

I wanted to love this movie because I really liked the concepts behind it. And for 1998 the effects are pretty great. But honestly, I would have preferred this film had it not been a science fiction film, and been strictly Noir. Because it exceeds so well at that aspect. I understand that the whole point has sci fi behind it, but there are so many parts of this film that feel like a B Movie, when it has the potential to be so much more.

So overall, brilliant concept and potential, just some sloppy filmmaking that ruins it for me.
