Review of Dark City (1950) by Samadhi R — 20 Jan 2015
Before their was Neo from the Matrix, Their was John. The director of "The Crow" directed this n it's just as excellent.Having had my dvd's stolen from a"friend"of 10 years,I hadn't watch this in ten years, having watched it again as a woman, I understand it so much more. When I saw it last as a teenager,I didn't completely understand it, in more ways than one.I lived watching it again and then showing it to my mother, she loved it.
I remember watching it for Richard O'Brien of"Rocky Horror"fame, who performs an excellent performance as one of the Strangers.I don't want to give anything away, but watch this movie, once, twice.I can't wait to purchase again. Kiefer Sutherland is in it, still having his baby face and he acts impeccable in it as does,Rufus Sewell and Jennifer Connelly from 80's-90's fame "Labyrinth"(David Bowie's in "Labyrinth"see that too if you can.William Hurt is in this movie too! IF I COULD GIVE IT TEN STARS I WOULD! SEE IT! It's free on demand thru Cinemax On Demand! Watch it twice!
