Review of Dark Blue (2002) by Bugi P — 04 Mar 2010
Dark Blue describes the ulcers of the American police. Although not addressed in an optimal, in my opinion, this cop thriller, "accidentally" managed to hit the side of the drama, by presenting the reality of the life of Los Angeles police, and flavored with a strong element of morality. Remarkably again, this film successfully presents a standard dialog, but support to the situation being described.
Cursory look is minimalist, not quality, tasteless, but wait until the film is finished, scene after scene of this movie looks complement each other. I'm not sure movie makers who play here realize it or not, but Kurt Russell's acting was bad, but again, it becomes a bad element seemed to have well-organized. One again, the director Ron Shelton, too, might not realize he had made a good film, but still deserves thumbs up. Imagine if the film is handled in a more qualified actor, more optimally deepening story, and of course, the master story of "reality", Michael Mann, then this film will get 10 stars from me. Highly Recommended!
