Review of Darfur Now (2007) by Kiel N — 12 Jun 2008
Not as compelling as Hotel Rowanda of course, as this is a documentary, but still worth watching.
Basically the movie follows three groups of people trying to have a positive impact on the genocide in the Sudan.
One group centers around the (ultimately sucessful) attempt to get California to divest from investments tied to the Sudan. Another group is inside Darfur, following both the UN and the rebels on the ground, with the third being basically Don Cheadle trying to build awareness.
Worth watching, if only to compel yourself into doing what you can (money and pressure on politicians) to help.
