Review of Daredevil (2003) by Gregory P — 15 Jun 2011
Just watched the Director's Cut. It's by far superior to the original theatrical version, but by no means good. It still feels lost in itself & Affleck is sort of just there, except in some dialogue scenes with Foggy. Despite some AMAZING casting (Colin Farrell, Joey Pants, & MCD), it's weighed down by cheesy dialogue, crappy soundtrack, sloppy CGI & overuse of slow motion.
The horrible love scene's been axed, Garner's role was subdued, and DD's motivation was explored more. It's better, but I wouldn't recommend it. Feels more like a fan-made movie.
