Review of Daredevil (2003) by Freeman M — 13 Aug 2013
So, Daredevil sure isn't the worst Superhero movie I've ever seen, but it's far from the best. It's casting is solid, Affleck and Garner make reasonable chemistry, even if the number of scenes featuring them both are lacking, and Michael Clark Duncan plays a spot-on Kingpin, just who you'd want to be Wilson Fisk. But, the script, while it might hold your interest for the span of the film, has it's share of cliched lines and cheesy dialogue, you know, the kind where someone says something and you can guess what the other person will reply.
Overall Daredevil feels somewhat rushed with just not enough character development to make the Devil-Elektra relationship fully constructed and a somewhat unclear plot, (Devil says revenge isn't the answer, but spends the rest of the film getting revenge, come on, man.) but it's got just enough action and solid performances to get you through the running time.
