Review of Daredevil (2003) by David G — 06 Apr 2012
Most of the cast were great in their roles here...Colin Farrell, and Michael Clarke Duncan being particularly well-suited and a very enjoyable (albeit relatively brief) turn by Marvel Films' seeming-golden boy Jon Favreau as Foggy Nelson...however, Affleck left me somehow wanting "more" from the character of Daredevil. Don't get me wrong, he did a pretty decent job considering he has since indicated he'd never do another superhero movie. At least we weren't forced to watch Keanu Reeves play himself in a red suit though.
All in all it really is a pretty decent movie considering filmmakers hadn't yet started taking comic book movies seriously and with Favreau's turn, along with Joe Pantoliano and cameos from Kevin Smith and Frank Miller it's still worth watching...just don't expect anything too great.
